A native of Morocco, Sofia Pernas moved to California at the age of 5 old. She grew up within Orange County. Her first break into acting in the year 2015. That same year, Sofia Pernas graduated from University of California San Diego. After a brief appearance on NCIS as well as Leverage Pernas got the part as Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless. After leaving the soap opera in the year 2016, she landed an appearance on Jane the Virgin as Catalina.
